Taking as my cue a recurring childhood dream with its intensely visual evocation of betrayal and incommunicability – the title of this series of work is Bewilderment In The Face Of Frenetic Incomprehensibilities.
My practice is based around drawing in its broadest sense: the physical enjoyment of a dynamic line, drawing together various strands of the metaphorical knot that characterises us, drawing out traced lines from maps or anatomical drawings, drawing in on a constantly ineffable truth. These are my playful explorations, tracing the unstable topography of my imaginary in order to seize the universal in the particular. (from Laurence Binyon - The Flight of the Dragon, 1911)
